Day 1
|
Starting at 9am,
pick-ups from hotels and the airport in the Nadi area by air conditioned
coach.
Your first adventure is to
a beautiful tropical isle with a tranquil blue lagoon, fringing
coral reefs, a long white sandy beach and swaying palm trees. Get cast
away in paradise for a day with a few of the essentials such as fishing
gear, snorkeling equipment, wind surfers, paddle boards and a typical
island lovo feast at lunch time.
Arriving back to the mainland we board the coach for our transfer to
the Centra Pacific
Harbour. .Get to know the your fellow travelers at cocktails before
dinner

Day 2
|
Take a leisurely
breakfast, maybe an early morning swim and then we're off to the local
Navua market where bananas, papaya, pineapples, kava and local limes are
sold along with other local essentials. From here we speed up the Navua
river on local taxi boats, swim in waterfall pools, lunch in a local
village and meet the local people. When it's time to return, we do so on
bilibili rafts, local rafts made from bamboo, taking a leisurely float
down the river past high cliffs covered in rainforest, and through small
rapids. Having
returned to Pacific Harbour
there's enough time for a game of tennis, a swim in the pool or maybe an
optional late horse ride on the beach before dinner

|
Day 3
|
Today is an optional day where you can either lay around the
pool or indulge in a choice of activities, Try diving in Beqa Lagoon,
jetski touring, play golf on
the internationally designed 18 hole golf course, surf at Frigate Passage,
try white water rafting or inflatable kayaking, or take a trip into Suva to take advantage of the
factory shops and the bargains in Cummings and Marks streets. These optional tours are NOT included in the tour
but can be
arranged with your Fathom Host.(*Lunch is not included today)
At the end of the day, have
dinner with the whole group, swapping stories and your day's experiences. |
 |
|
Day 4
|
Beqa Lagoon is
famous for it's fire-walkers, coral and superb diving but today we venture
out to the group of islands in Beqa Lagoon on board a catamaran. The
sail boat is used as a mother ship and once out at the islands we use sea kayaks for
a more
intimate exploration of the islands and surrounding environment. Enjoy
this region in a way which very few people see it - up close and personal.
Dinner tonight will be lots
of fun because it's your last night at Centra Pacific Harbour |
 |
|
Day 5
|
The Coral Coast
is the main route between Nadi and Suva and today we will explore the
Coral Coast as we make our way to Sonaisali Island Resort.
Tavuni Hill Fort, where a
Tongan chief was given land by the local Fijians, set up a fortress and
whose surrounding land is still farmed by his descendants. Sigatoka Sand
Dunes, where the open ocean meets the land, producing extensive dunes. The
45 minute walk takes you through archeological sites, where the remains of
the Lapita people have been uncovered, to the ocean's edge where you look
out onto the Pacific Ocean before moving on to Geckoes for lunch. Explore
their traditional Fijian village and extensive artifacts within the
buildings.
Your stay at Sonaisali Resort
can begin with a swim in the pool, a game of tennis or just a quiet sit in
a hammock overlooking the sea. The lovo feast and meke tonight will
complete your day of Fiji's history and culture. |
 |
|
Day 6
|
The Mamanuca
islands sit like a chain of jewels just of the coastline. Today we cruise
the islands on board a schooner, exploring uninhabited beaches and islands
while taking the sun, indulging in a little snorkeling and passing the
time on deck with a glass of wine or a cold beer.
Back at Sonaisali, there'll
be time for cocktails and then onto our farewell Dinner and party 'till
the small hours |
