Marriage
under Fijian law involves two parts:
The Registration:
The registration of the intent to marry with the Registry Office in
Sigatoka. The office is open from 8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday through
Friday and the meeting will take around 20 minutes. The Resort will
arrange an appointment for the completion of the Fijian registry
requirements and thereafter the marriage service at the Resort. It is
important to note that the bride and groom will need an original or
certified copy of their respective birth certificates, their passports
and if previously married, a copy of their divorce papers. Also please
note that weddings can not be performed on a Sunday.
The Ceremony:
A religious ceremony to be held at the Outrigger Reef Fiji. Usually, the
ceremony takes place at sunset and there are a variety of romantic
locations from which to choose. A Minister or Marriage Celebrant will be
