The Votua reef had not been used for 15 years—until they began our cooperative project four years ago with the village. This area is well known and had been written about in Skin Diver Magazine—Morgan's Wall was selected as one of the five most favorite dive sites in Fiji. Diving on the Votua reef is mainly drift dives, with divers being dropped off at entry and picked up where they complete their dive. The reef is very close to the shore on our part of the island, so you'll spend your time diving—not riding to and from the dive site. The reef has a number of good walls such as Snow White & The Seven Angels which features a wall covered with white soft corals and seven different kinds of angel fish. Morgan’s Wall features giant sea fans, schools of barracuda, lion fish, sponges, turtles, white tips, and mantas. There are deep dive areas with hard corals and pelagic. Another favorite is the Maze with swim throughs, small caves, gobies, and sand sharks. Fourteen other dive sites exist along the reef with each one different according to the current, tide and time of day.


Underwater Dive Park We have felt that many visitors and divers are very interested in diving the coral reefs, but many do not know how fragile our reefs are and how much in danger they are for their very survival. We of Votua Village and Mike's Divers wish to invite you to koin us in the study of our coral reefs, to learn about them, appreciate them, and to protect them. To that purpose we have developed the Underwater Park, an eco lab and conservation program to educate and to enjoy our coral reefs. Underwater Park special objectives include instruction in: The ecology of the coral reef Identifying corals Protecting reefs Life cycles of the coral reef Fish life on the coral reef Making fish houses for the reefs

Comfortable Surface Intervals Because our dive sites around the reef are so close—only five to ten minutes by boat, you will spend your diving time underwater instead of sitting in a boat. During the surface intervals we can return to the shop, where rest rooms, showers and towels, free tea and refreshments, and a verandah with tables overlooking the lagoon awaits. At lunch time the village ladies usually come over to the shops with hot meals of curry, fish and cassava that guests and staff can enjoy for only FJD$2. This is Fiji living. Equipment We have good quality Genesis reg/octo, BCD. Our Air Compressor with Filters receives the top quality air rating. All of our tanks are current and stamped. Five members our our Staff have passed the PADI Tank Inspectors course. Boats All of our boats are registered with the Fiji Government and carry oxygen, radios, first aid, and life jackets. Insurance All three of our Dive Masters and our Dive Instructor are current with certification and are insured. Diving Rates Our diving rates for certified divers include weights, tanks, boat travel, and certificated guide.
