| VILLAGE TOUR: Ratu Inoke, The Fijian Village Chief invites you to visit
Naidi Village to experience the unique culture of his people, to witness how they live
today and to share with them what happens in a Fijian Village. You'll have time to
interact with young and old to ask
your questions and learn more about the Fijian Life style - don't be surprised if the
villagers want to know all about you too!!! Naidi Village is situated on the coast
approximately 20 minutes scenic drive from Savusavu Town. Naidi Village has 42
homes/bures,. a population of 296 and two churches.
Your tour includes: Transport (20 minutes each way);
Traditional Fijian Welcome (sevusevu) followed by sampling the Traditional drink Yaqona
(kava). Escorted by the ever friendly and smiling villagers, you'll tour the dwellings and
be given explanations of herbal plants with medicinal usage's. On the Village green
purchase (if you wish) genuine handicrafts made by the villagers.
Fijian Traditional farewell. Note: For groups a Meke
Fijian dance is included at additional fee.

COPRA/BEEF PLANTATION (FARM) & COPRA
MILL TOUR:
Visit a local working Copra (Coconut) and Beef
Plantation on the southern coast just outside Savusavu Town. Meet the farm workers and
families, see how coconuts are harvested and dried, perhaps ride a bullock team sled, have
the growing productive cycle of coconut trees explained, see examples of local cattle.
Transfer to the Largest Copra Mill in Fiji and have coconut oil extraction from the
coconuts explained. View examples of Fiji's remarkable Hybrid Coconut tree's in full fruit
at a special nursery. Return to Savusavu Town. All transport and guide fees are included.

LABASA TOUR (FULL DAY):
Departing Savusavu (9am) travelling around Savusavu
Bay through Copra (Coconut) Plantations then up the mountain covered in Tropical Rain
Forest. Notice the graphic change in vegetation on reaching the peak, continue down the
other side of the mountains into Pine Forests and Sugar Cane Farms. Visit the Islands only
Sugar Cane Mill followed by lunch in Labasa Town. Labasa is the capital town of Vanua
Levu. After lunch visit the Fiji Sugar Corporation loading operations at Malau and also
Fiji Forest Industries Mill which produced timber and world class veneer and plywood. The
Tour returns to Savusavu at approximately (5pm). Your driver/guide will stop when ever you
see photo opportunities. Driver-Guide, soft drinks, bottled water, snacks and lunch plus
prearrangements are all provided within Tour price.
WATER-SKIING/WATERSLED:
Our very fast powerful Deep Vee boats are fantastic
for learners, novice and experienced water-skiers; (Yes we do teach on request), 2
sets of different types of ski's available, shortie wetsuit and water ski belt provided,
towels for showers on return. Due to the power of boats 3-4 people can accompany
the skiers on the boat, so time lost in change over of water skiers is minimized. The
watersled is great for children or those who just want fun!.
MOUNTAIN BIKES:
These bikes give affordable freedom of movement to
or for those not wanting to spend too much on getting around or those who want to keep
fit. Be independent, explore Savusavu and its surrounds at your leisure.
EXPEDITION TO NUKUBOLU HOT SPRINGS:
Nukubolu in ancient times was a fortified hub for
major paths/roads and tribute routes transversing Vanua Levu Island. The natural beauty of
this location is outstanding, as are the now friendliest people on Vanua Levu.
The Nukubolu area is steeped in ancient Fijian
folklore and history, the scene of the last major war and the fiercest tribal battle
between the people of Nukubolu and legendary Tui Cakau in 1868 just prior to cession to
the British Crown.
The Ancient Hot Springs Thermal Complex and
Fortified area is being researched by the Fiji Museum. The Fiji Museum and NLTB are
actively involved in this Eco Project.
The tour is for the more adventurous
travellers - Transport by 4x4 wheel Safari Vehicle. Streams must be forded on the
walking tracks during the 15 to 20 minute walk into the site from where vehicles can't
navigate. Guides and help will be available; walking shoes or strong shoes recommended,
ground conditions deteriorate in wet weather.

WAISALI RAINFOREST RESERVE
From Savusavu you'll take the transinsular road over
the mountain ranges. This Nature Reserve is Fiji's most recent area designated for the
protection and preservation of Fiji's flora and fauna. The reserve covers an area of 116
hectares, and has panoramic views. Waisali is one of the few areas of unexploited tropical
rainforest remaining. Trail into the Rainforest, visit the Waterfall. It harbours prime
examples of Fiji's exotic timber like Dakua, Yaka and Kuasi, as well as rare specimens of
wildlife. The Reserve has been established through the co-operation of the National Trust
of Fiji, Native Land owners (NLTB), the Ministry of Forest and the New Zealand Embassy and
now Eco Divers-Tours. Numerous photo shoot opportunities are available. Return to Savusavu

OCEAN KAYAKS DAY HIRE: NEW
Kayak Village Tour Full Day F$115.00
We have four genuine American OCEAN KAYAKS (with
built in stowage) for Rental. Two are two person kayaks and two are singles. Lifejackets
supplied. The Savusavu Bay is huge, with unlimited bays to visit (most uninhabited). For
novices there's a nearby island to circumnavigate or the eastern shoreline of Savusavu bay
to paddle down. Combine kayaking with snorkelling, reef walks or just sunbathing where you
want to stop or rest?!!!
SNORKELLING BOAT TRIPS:
Savusavu has incredible snorkelling with a range of
sites for novice inside the Savusavu Bay to outside the Bay on the fringing main reef for
experienced. The boat will have a crew and also a Dive-Master/Rescue diver in the water
with you. Limited snorkel gear rental available. Normally (but not always) snorkelling is
undertaken in the afternoons, when the Dive Boats are free. Hats/Special Jackets, water
and nibbles plus towels available for showers on return complimentary.
