About Fathom:We have been marketing and promoting travel and tourism to the Pacific region for 24 years and as such have gained invaluable knowledge on the working and thinking of potential clients from overseas. The company was started in 1974 as a diving company but has gone through a number of changes to include many types and interests of travel and tourism product. Our marketing and promotions have involved the design and compilation of internationally approved promotional brochures, literature and press releases. We have attended many tourism trade shows throughout the world since 1980 and have lectured to a wide variety of groups on travel and tourism and related subjects. We have designed curriculum for the tourism industry which is now being used throughout the Pacific. One of our team has won an international PATA award for travel training for her design of the Certificate of Heritage and Interpretive Tourism course now being taught in Australia. Courses designed and delivered have all contained a high component of industry involvement and as such have been acknowledged as being industry led. First hand experience of tourism project instigation and operation, by the people involved within the company, has enabled us to identify the information requirement of the industry and ensures that information is compiled in a manner which is useful and profitable to the tourism community, both domestic and international. Extensive qualifications and experience with display, advertising, sales and co-ordination of marketing and promotional activities ensure that the company has the skills to achieve its goals of producing a tourism information network which will be user friendly and accessible.
