This camping
tour is a must to see the best of the Kimberley on your way from Broome to
Darwin or Darwin to Broome. It is the only tour that covers it all in
air-conditioned purpose-built 4WD's. To travel Broome to Darwin or Darwin
to Broome in any less than 12 days and you'll miss the best of the
Kimberley!

DAY 1: Broome
- Windjana.
Depart Broome at 7:00am and head to the Derby Prison
for a short visit. We now leave the bitumen behind us as we enter the Gibb
River Road, almost instantly we can feel the remoteness. A walk up
Windjana Gorge this afternoon is sure to impress. Camping overnight
Windjana National Park. (L.D)
DAY
2: Windjana - Bell.
This morning we're off to Tunnel Creek, have your bathers
and torches ready. This amazing tunnel cuts through the Napier Range and
is rich in history. Afternoon sees us off to Bells Gorge. Camping overnight Bells Gorge.

DAY 3: Bell -
Manning. Leaving Bells Gorge
this morning, we travel through the beautiful scenery of the Kimberley's
highest mountain range, King Leopold Ranges, on our way to Galvan's Gorge.
This gorge will tempt you to don the bathers. For those feeling like a
walk, a visit to Manning Gorge this afternoon is recommended. Camping
overnight Mt Barnett Station. (B.L.D)
DAY
4: Manning - King Edward River.
Today we leave the Gibb River Road, and travel to Kalumburu
Road to Mitchell Plateau, visiting Drysdale River Station. Our camp will
be on the banks of the river, an afternoon dip here, and a chance to
explore the area before dinner is a must. Camping overnight King Edward

DAY 5: Mitchell
Plateau.
We make
full use of our 4WD capacity today, to take us to the Mitchell Plateau.
Livistonia palms abound in this rugged region. Experience an optional
helicopter flight over these falls, you can see most of the remotest
country in the world. While swimming and overlooking the cascading falls,
take a moment out, realising just where you are on the map. Camping
overnight Kind Edward River. (B.L.D)
DAY 6:
King Edward River - Ellenbrae Station.
This morning we visit Aboriginal
paintings in the area, we must now depart our river camp and Mitchell
Plateau and travel back down Kalumburu Road to rejoin the Gibb River Road.
Tonight we camp at unique Ellenbrae Station. (B.L.D)
DAY 7: Ellenbrae -
Kununurra. Our journey takes us through the majestic
Cockburn Ranges, have your cameras ready as we wind our way towards El
Questro Station. A walk to stunning Emma Gorge, with a rewarding swim in
the crystal clear waters. Camping overnight Kununurra. (B.L.D)
DAY 8: Kununurra.
Free day today, to
enjoy the many attractions of Kununurra. Overnight Kimberley Land Caravan
Park. (B)
DAY 9:
Kununurra - Bungle Bungles.
An early
start as we're off to the Bungle's unbelievable beehive formations, and
view plunging gorges that will leave you breathless. A visit to Echidna
Chasm with its 150 metre sheer rock face. Camping overnight Bungle Bungle
National Park. (B.L.D)
DAY 10:
Bungle Bungles.
A
full day to take in the wonder of "Purnululu" (the Aboriginal
name for the Bungles), starting with an optional
helicopter flight over this amazing sight is a must. Then lunch in
Cathedral Gorge and an afternoon walk to Mini Palms. Camping overnight
Bungle Bungle National Park. (B.L.D)
DAY
11: Bungle Bungles - Timber Creek.
We leave Purnululu today and head to Kununurra for a
short stop. We then cross the Northern Territory Border, pass through
Timber Creek and on to Victoria River. Camping overnight at Timber Creek.

DAY 12:
Timber Creek - Darwin.
Today we visit Katherine Gorge and Edith Falls for a relaxing swim, en
route to our final destination point of the city of Darwin. when our
Kimberley Adventure officially ends! (B.L)
