Day 1, Friday,
Hobart - Richmond - Bonorong
Arrival in Hobart by 12.00h. Transfer to hotel
and tour briefing with fellow travellers. Around 13.00h we shall start our
afternoon excursion to the historic town of Richmond and visit of Bonorong
Wildlife Park. In the evening welcome dinner at Hobart's waterfront
Restaurant "Drunken Admiral" or "Mures Upper Deck".

Day 2, Saturday, Salamanca
- Mt Wellington - Hastings Cave
In the morning stroll through historic Battery Point and visit of
Hobart's famous Salamanca Market, then sightseeing from Mount Wellington
(1200m) with views across Hobart and Southern Tasmania. Afterwards a trip
to Hastings Cave via the scenic Huon Valley, Tasmania's famous apple
growing area. Includes opportunity to swim in hot springs. Stop at the
Geeveston Forestry Centre before taking a walk in the
wilderness.

Day 3, Sunday, Strahan (via Lake St Clair)
Departure from Hobart to Lake St Clair in Cradle Mountain/Lake St
Clair National Park which is part of the World Heritage Area. On the way
morning tea and gallery visit in Hamilton. Visit of the Lake St Clair
Visitor Centre or short walk in the clean alpine air along Australia's
deepest lake (200m). Lunch and continue drive to Strahan. Along the way
opportunity to discover Tasmania's rainforest and bathe your feet in the
Franklin River, one of Tasmania's last wild rivers.

Day 4, Monday, Gordon
River
This day will feature one of the tour's highlights, a day cruise
across Macquarie Harbour to Tasmania's other famous wild river, the Gordon
River. At Heritage Landing see one of Tasmania's ancient and unique trees,
a 2000 year old Huon Pine. Lunch on board. In the afternoon opportunity
for a stroll through Strahan village. In the evening visit Ocean Beach
where thousands of Muttonbirds arrive after dark at the large rookery.
Option: horse riding on Ocean Beach.

Day 5, Tuesday,
Strahan-Zeehan-Cradle Mountain
In the morning excursion to Hogarth Waterfall and the dead King
River. Option: 1.15 hour Scenic flight over Gordon and Franklin River with
Landing on the river. After lunch continue drive to Cradle Mountain via
Zeehan. Short stroll to Visitor Centre and Waldheim Chalet where the
Austrian Gustav Weindorfer lived early this century.

Day 6, Wednesday, Cradle
Mountain
Today, we shall explore the magnificent Cradle Mountain National
Park. The morning may be spent walking around the glacial Lake Dove with
stunning views of Cradle Mountain and return via Wombat Fields and
Weindorfer's Waldheim. Option: Scenic helicopter flight. Alternatively a
full day walk with guide may be organised. In the evening opportunity to
view abundant local wildlife.

Day 7, Thursday, Cradle Mt-Launceston
(Hobart)
After breakfast transfer to Launceston airport via the scenic
hinterland of Mount Roland. Short visit in Launceston if time permits.
Guests may continue to Hobart at no extra cost for their onward flights
after 5 pm.
