Pacific Cycle Tours is a family owned enterprise, specialised in organising adventure trips throughout New Zealand.

Exercise and Relaxation are our main focus. No matter what type of adventure you are looking for, there is fun for everyone: cycling, mountain biking, trekking or kayaking. If you ever need a rest, you can ride in our support vehicle. We travel in small groups to keep our trips as personal as possible. Our tour guide is always at your side.

SOUTH ISLAND ROAD CYCLING TOUR

Three tour options:
7 days – Christchurch to Queenstown
7 days – Queenstown to Christchurch
14 days – Christchurch full circle around the South Island to Christchurch

A flexible touring experience of the scenic jewels of the South Island. You can choose to join the tour for either seven or 14 days, starting your tour in either Christchurch or Queenstown. If you are commencing the tour in Christchurch, it starts gently enough through the open beauty of the Canterbury Plains, rolling countryside, forests and the tussock lands of the Mackenzie Country. The tour continues pass sparkling southern lakes, breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains, and the photographic golden tussock of the Lindis mountain pass. Passing though historic goldmining towns you will arrive at Queenstown, the outdoor adventure capital of New Zealand. The second half of the tour starts in Queenstown and the hill country along Lakes Hawea and Wanaka. You will then travel to the West Coast and the dramatic contrast of dense rain forest, national heritage parks, and the dramatic Fox and Franz Josef glaciers. You can explore the special charm of West Coast gold rush towns, visit a jade (pounamu) factory, and take a beach walk at sunset. Your tour concludes with a romantic train journey aboard the world-renowned TranzAlpine Express, traversing the scenic splendour of the Southern Alps to Christchurch.

20 Day Paradise Plus TOUR

NORTH AND SOUTH ISLAND 20 DAY ROAD CYCLE TOUR 862 /543 miles

If it is a sense of paradise you are seeking, then you need look no further than our 20 day cycle tour of the North and South Islands of New Zealand. Be prepared to experience “sensory overload” as you encounter this scenic, cultural and adventure wonderland.
Your tour embraces the diversity of coastal roads, sweeping beaches, rugged mountain ranges and active geysers, hot spring and boiling mud pools. You will see majestic turquoise blue lakes, spectacular scenic panoramas, rolling pastures, native forests and lush bush. There will be time for trekking, kayaking, horse riding, and for those who really crave an adrenalin rush, bungy jumping, white water rafting and jet boating. There will also be moments of tranquillity and solitude, delicious food and wines, and time to just sit back and reflect on how so much beauty can be found in a single place on earth.
A bus is used to cover long distances when you will not be cycling.
