Two hours travelling time from the Airport, this is another simple property set in lush surroundings where you can experience the Melenansian life style.There is a beautiful long beach where can just walk or enjoy some snorkeling.

The 8 bungalows are set on a clifftop on the edge of this lovely bay, and all have amazing views; you can look across the bay and see Mt Yasur in the distance. Bungalows have either double or single beds and there is electricity in the evenings, flush toilet and communal solar warm shower.

There is also a bar, and a restuarant, which has a good reputation and serves locally produced food.

Adventure Tours from Port Resolution Yacht Club

Volcano Tour - Port Resolution offers trips to the Volcano, the drive from here to the Volcano is around 40 minutes by truck, with the tour departing  in the afternoon, and returning after nightfall. You can get to within 150 yards of the rim with the 4wd vehicle, and from here you can get as close to the rim as the prevailing volcanic activity allows! A must see! Cost: NZD22 pp

John Frum Cargo Tour - Every Friday evening in the village, the followers of John Frum celebrate the expected coming of John Frum and sing and dance to encourage his return. Bands play all night and women in grass skirts and men in lava lava dance. Also a must see - Unique Tanna Culture! Cost: NZD65 pp

Steam and Bat Tour - On this tour you go by truck across the bay to a volcanic area with numerous openings which belch smoke and gases.In a cave in this area is the home of hundreds of bats, perhaps the original bat cave! Tour  Aprox 1 hour.

Jungle Oasis Bungalows

Jungle Oasis bungalows is located on the East side of Tanna, real close to the Volcano. (you can hear it rumbling!). 

The drive from the Airport to the bungalow is around 2 hours.

Jungle Oasis has  8 bungalows, all of traditional Melanisian design, and with a mixture of bedding configurations and sleeping capacity ranging from 2 to 6 people. 

Electricity is available in the bungalows at night for lighting powered by a generator.

They have a restaurant that they can serve you for all meals, but no bar, so BYO.

Adventure Tours from Jungle Oasis Bungalows

Volcano Day and Night Tour - This trip is an optional trip of either going up to the Volcano by truck or you can just have a walk up there. It takes about 1 hour walking there and 45 minutes back. Jungle Oasis is very close to the Volcano, you can hear the noise of the volcano while at your bungalow. They can also arrange for their guests to get there in the day time and then return in the evening. Cost: NZD22 per person

Just  3 minutes from the Tanna airport, this is another excellent choice of Accommodation. There are 9 bungalows located amongst lush tropical vegetation, bordering the Ocean.

Three of the bungalows are brand new, and have private bathrooms. The others have shared toilet and showers (hot & cold water). The facilities are only shared between each 2 bungalows. Electricity is generated in the evenings.

There is a  good restaurant which has areputaion for excellent seafood, and there is a well stocked bar.

Adventure Tours from Evergreen Bungalows

Volcano Night Tour (includes entry fee & refreshments)- depart bungalows at around 2 pm to see the Volcano, you will arrive there after 2- 3 hours drive  and be there in time to see the volcano in the daylight and also stay there until it dark. From where the truck drops you, it will be around 7 minutes to the top of the Volcano to see the smoke and fire from the Volcano. You  arrive back at the your bungalow at around 8-9 pm. Cost: NZD150 single person, additional persons NZD105 per person.
