TOPdive Resort is a small boutique hotel with 9
bungalows located on the main island of Bora Bora, 5
minutes from Vaitape, the main village of the island. Three
bungalows are built over the water and the other six face the
exquisite garden. All are made of heavy wood, have a
pandanus roof (a kind of local palm tree leaf) and have an outdoor
terrace.

A fresh water
swimming pool is situated next to the restaurant
facing the ocean and a sun deck for relaxing. A beautiful
terrace on the lagoon, where you can have dinner at night. The restaurant is known as one of the best tables on the island and
serve fine dishes of French and international cuisine.

The Diving
at Top Dive Resort

Topdive is one of the biggest dive
centres in Bora Bora. Scuba diving within the lagoon as well as outside on the reef.
|
|
French Polynesia in not well
know in the scuba world, but that is what you will enjoy about it.
With fewer divers it is easier to preserve this little
paradise...just for you. Actually, French Polynesia is the ideal
spot for all levels of scuba divers. There are dive locations for
the beginner inside the lagoon are more technical ones outside the
reef. The visibility is very good in all locations, however as
everywhere else it is dependent on factors. Diving is excellent year round which means
that there is no "best" season for scuba diving in French Polynesia.
The waters of Bora Bora are also home to
the graceful manta rays, and can be seen inside the lagoon which means the dive location is perfect for
divers with little experience, as the maximum depth is 60
feet.
If you enjoy seeing big
fish this is the place to be. Sharks, sharks, and more sharks.
Tahiti was rated shark capital of the Pacific by Skin Diver magazine
and it definately lives up to its rating. Lemon, grey, black tip,
white tip, and hammerhead sharks all make the waters around Tahiti
their home.
All equipment is Scubapro. They dive
with 12 litre steel tanks (15 liter tanks are available by request).
The tank valve is an INT and can be changed to a DIN one. They use
Scubapro R-190 regulators with R-190 Octopi.

The water
temperature ranges from 70 (about 22c) degrees during the Winter to 80
(about 27c) degrees
during the Summer. Many divers here dive without a wet suit, but we
suggest you dive with one to keep from getting chilly (a 3mm short
wet suit should keep you plenty warm).
The equipment is included in
the dive price. The diving at Top Dive is PADI,
which means they dive according to the standards and safety rules of
PADI.

The boats include a 45 foot catamaran
for up to 30 divers, a 30 foot boat for up to 20 divers and the smaller 23 foot for
up to 16 divers.

The Best
Deals
The best way to do some serious diving or to learn how to dive is to stay at our
Resort. As a member of the PADI Resort Association, we have complete facilities
on-site for scuba diving. The dive boats start their excursions a few meters
away from your bungalow, and lockers where you can leave your own dive gear are
available. We also have a classroom for theory lessons, a restaurant that serves
good food, and a swimming pool to relax in between dives!
