Game
Fishing can be excellent off the reefs around Upolu Island. Game fish
can be caught all year round and Peter who runs Boomerang Fishing
Charters, being a local Samoan knows where all the fish are!
Marlin
can be caught all months, however the best time of year is November to
February, when good sized fish are available. Average weight for Marlin
is 120kg - the present record for a Black Marlin is 192.50 KG, caught in
the year 2000.
Yellow
Fin Tuna are also available all months however the best time is May
to September, with Mahi Mahi also present through out the year.
Wahoo
and Barracuda can be caught July through to November.

Peter
mostly fishes on the eastern side of Upolu Island and has a great
reputation for good catches.
Game
Fishing species caught - Sailfish, Yellowfin, wahoo,
masimasi, marlin, Giant Trevally, Dogtooth Tuna.
Bottom
Fishing -
Long and Short nose emperor, coral trout, Cod, Barracuda, Big eye Burge,
and many other different species.
All gear is
supplied, although you are welcome to bring your own if you wish
to.
The trips
they do are very scenic - the fishing area is surrounded by two islands
so you are urged to bring your cameras.
